Sifat Hasad dalam Hadis Nabi Riwayat Ahmad bin Hanbal No. 7713 Perspektif Kesehatan Mental

Abstract

Envy (Hasad) is a reprehensible trait. According to religious scholars and psychologists, this trait should be avoided. One of the references to the prohibition of envy is the hadith narrated by Ahmad bin Hanbal No. 7713. The research problem in this study is: What is the understanding of scholars regarding the hadith about envy narrated by Ahmad bin Hanbal No. 7713, and how is the trait of envy understood in this hadith, especially in relation to mental health? This study uses a qualitative method, with a library research approach. Research findings: (1) The understanding of scholars from this hadith is that Muslims are strongly encouraged to love one another, maintain good relationships, build noble character, and avoid division. (2) The meaning of the trait of envy in the hadith narrated by Ahmad bin Hanbal No. 7713 and its relation to mental health: According to Ibn Daqiq al-Aidi, Muhammad bin Ismail, and Muhammad bin Shalih, it can be concluded that the trait of envy in this hadith is a negative trait that arises between two individuals due to dissatisfaction with the blessings that Allah has bestowed upon one party. This trait has a significant impact on mental health.
