This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning. The research employs a literature review method by examining books, scholarly journal articles, and policy documents related to the Merdeka Curriculum. The findings indicate that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in IRE learning emphasizes the strengthening of students’ character through the Pancasila Student Profile, flexibility in learning tools, and the application of formative and summative assessments oriented toward learning outcomes. This policy is intended to enhance students’ personality development and competencies in a holistic manner. The Pancasila Student Profile reflects the characteristics of excellent Indonesian students who are lifelong learners, possess strong character, demonstrate global competence, and behave in accordance with Pancasila values. The Merdeka Curriculum enhances character education through the Pancasila Student Profile, which consists of six dimensions.
